Сapturing the exhibition history of significant institutions and artists in Hungarian visual arts. The data collection process involved three consecutive steps: automated large-scale data collection, manual record entry by data collectors, and expert validation. This was followed by data cleaning, aligning art expert work with natural language processing algorithms, resulting in the database serving as the foundation for the Hungarian Art Network.The fruits of our meticulous data-gathering endeavor culminated in the publication "Elek Menten: Kortárs Magyar Képzőművészet az Adatok Tükrében," a comprehensive tome that encapsulates the essence of contemporary Hungarian visual arts through the prism of empirical data. The results were also shown in 2020, at the BarabasiLab exposition titled "Hidden Patterns" at the Ludwig Museum, showcasing the undercurrents and nuanced dynamics of the Hungarian art world.
